Our Story
From humble beginnings…
Over 30 years ago, current owner Dave moved his family of 6 from Jordan to the states and settled down in New Jersey. With no footing in his family’s new life, he secured a job at a local business in downtown Ridgewood known as Maple Barber Shop.
Maple’s original owner, Joe, entrusted Dave because of his dedication, work ethic, and attention to detail. So much so that when Joe was ready to sell the business he told Dave he wouldn’t sell the business that he built to anyone but him. Several years later, Dave managed to expand the shop to double its size all while providing exceptional professional barbering services to the surrounding communities.
An old-school feel with a new generations touch…
In 2010, Dave’s son, Omar decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. The two worked hand in hand to give Maple Barber Shop an upgrade, welcoming in a luxury modern feel, but never changing the traditional services their customers have come to rely on for so many years.
After 12 years of learning the business, Omar decided to take Maple to new heights. The family is proud to announce the opening of Maple Barber Shops second location in Waldwick, New Jersey. Welcoming in new and existing community members to all that is the prestigious Maple Barber Shop.
With the dreams and aspirations of the Maple team, the sky’s the limit…
